At Least one Summer Song for Regina Jazzfest…

regina-jazz-festival-logoHoly JazzFest Gigs Batman!
The Regina JazzFest is soon upon us…and I feel so fortunate to be playing in some of the greatest venues in the city. On Wednesday, June 17, I will be at the DoubleTree at 5:30 to 8pm. That entrance area is grand indeed; lots of windows, modern sleek styling’s and the smooth sounds of Cater Powley on sax and Scott Anthony Andrews on voice and piano. Carter and I will be at Slow, the food, brew pub and sports bar on Thursday the 18th at 8pm. We will be upstairs in the balcony area over looking festivities; the decor fits well with a jazz vibe. Friday the 19th we will be at LaBodega on the outdoor patio—home of the ice bar in winter and outdoor movies in summer; one of the hippest places in the city. On Sunday June 21, I will perform with guitarist Ryan Hicks, awesome singer-songwriter (http://www.ryanhicksband.com/) at Shannon’s Irish Pub & Grill in the cathedral from 3 til 5pm. We are going to do some of his stuff, and mine, and jazz standards.

At all venues, I will perform my single “As If I Could (Say No to You Old Man Winter)” from latest CD “Courage Walks with Us” ….though I promise to play a warm song about summer too. Come on out and say hello!
