Is it a grain elevator? No…It’s a Harp!

I just completed my first CD Launch at Eastside United (@Eastside_united) at the Living Spirit Centre in Regina www.livingspiritcentre.org/welcome-eastside-united   Sharon Elliot joined me on three pieces with the harp. Up close, I was struck by the beauty of the harp; it truly is a magnificent instrument to behold.  Actually, her harp was crafted here in Regina by Richard Diener with wood from an old grain elevator. How fitting, a soothing instrument from the relaxing prairie. Not only is the harp a delight to see, its tone seems to relax people automatically. Sharon’s playing resonated with my music, and I was most appreciative. Music is such a communal activity whether playing, listening–or simply being.
